A good profile summary should be as detailed as possible. Here are some guidelines:
1. Self-introduction
- Personality, hobbies and interests
- Language(s) spoken
2. Inspiration to care
3. Care experience
- How long you have been a caregiver / healthcare professional
- What Activities of Daily Living (ADL) / nursing procedures you are proficient in
- What relevant certifications you have
- Who you have cared for (ie. seniors with Dementia, etc
- Where you have provided care (e.g. home, care facilities, ward types, etc)
Here is an example:
Hello, my name is Sarah! I am able to converse in English, Malay and conversational Mandarin. I enjoy hiking and cycling in my free time.
I was inspired to be a caregiver due to my personal experience of caring for my grandparents. I believe every care recipient has unique care needs and will do best to tailor my care to support them.
